The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden sect.

The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
