Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Around 2,000 United States Roles – News
Paramount Skydance will initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, cutting about 2,000 US jobs under a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.
The workforce reduction are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance aiming to reveal full details in its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.
Prior news suggested the company aimed to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, the organization had about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not yet commented on the matter.
